This is not one of the early 90’s Hilux Surf’s that were officially imported into the UK at that time. Those models were only available with diesel engines.
These are ‘cult’ vehicles in Japan and are always ‘stripped’ of steps and are always lifted. The lift is approx 2.5 inches.
